Setup guidance

Before you arrive
1Buy the plan from your chosen provider's site or app and receive a QR code by email.
2Open Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM (iOS) or Settings → Network → SIM manager (Android).
3Scan the QR code with your phone's camera when prompted.
4Keep it disabled until you land — toggle it on after arrival to start the validity clock.
After you land
1Enable the eSIM in Settings and turn on Data Roaming for that line.
2Pick it as data line — set the eSIM as the default for mobile data; keep your home SIM for calls.
3Check the APN if data doesn't connect — most providers auto-set it; some need a manual entry.
4Test it — open a webpage or maps. If it works, you're online.
QR code scanning
iOS
Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. Camera opens automatically.
Android
Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add a SIM → Download a SIM instead. Scan when prompted.
When to activate
Before departure for most providers (install at home over Wi-Fi). At the airport / after landing to start the validity period — enable data roaming once airborne or on the ground.
Troubleshooting
No data after landing? Toggle Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off — forces a network re-register.
QR won't scan? Screenshot it and zoom in, or use the provider's manual-activation code (SM-DP+ address + matching ID).
Wrong network? Set network selection to Automatic, or manually pick the operator listed in your plan details.
Running out early? Top up in the provider's app — most allow add-on data without a new QR code.
