One page, one job
Every tool solves exactly one problem and loads in a blink. No wizards, no ten-step funnels.
PlanTrippr is an independent publisher offering 14 free, single-purpose travel tools — passport and visa checkers, packing and budget calculators, transit and currency helpers, and more. Ask one question, get one clear answer, then get back to the fun part of planning.
PlanTrippr is built and maintained by Chris — a frequent traveller who runs this site independently. It is not an auto-generated content farm and not a faceless "team of travel enthusiasts." Every tool is hand-built by one person who stands behind it, and every page on this site, including this one, is written by Chris.
I got burned on a trip by missing one of the critical steps that PlanTrippr now helps you catch. A single overlooked detail — the kind of thing that's easy to miss when you're juggling flights, visas, baggage rules, and a dozen tabs of conflicting advice — cost me real money and a lot of stress. That experience is the reason PlanTrippr exists.
The idea is simple: one focused tool per question, each one giving you a clear answer fast, so you don't have to piece together the critical steps yourself. The 14 tools cover the four phases of a trip — planning, packing, transit, and arrival — and they're cross-linked so the answer to one question naturally leads to the next.
A note on this bio: Chris's full travel background and a longer first-person story are being written. The detail above — a frequent traveller who built PlanTrippr after getting burned by a missed critical step — is what's confirmed so far. [More biography to be added here.]
Building and maintaining 14 tools costs real time and money, so PlanTrippr is supported in two ways:
We don't sell your personal data, and PlanTrippr has no user accounts to sell data from in the first place.
Travel rules — visa requirements, baggage limits, compensation thresholds — change often, and getting them wrong has real consequences. So we:
Even so, PlanTrippr's tools are informational aids, not legal or professional advice — always confirm critical decisions (visas, passports, compensation claims) with the relevant official source.
Every tool solves exactly one problem and loads in a blink. No wizards, no ten-step funnels.
You should never have to create an account to convert a currency or work out a layover.
Hand-written HTML and CSS, tiny scripts, and only the data each tool actually needs. It shows in the speed.
Analytics only run if you say yes. Reject them and the site works exactly the same.
We're steadily adding tools under /tools — each one focused, quick, and cross-linked to the others that pair with it.
